We are a non-profit organization representing the interests of member organizations/groups such as HRSA funded Geriatric Education Centers (GECs) to provide health professions education in geriatrics and gerontology, such as  faculty training/fellowship programs, continuing education, and others.

Our priority is to educate the public and other groups regarding the particular policy for and the financial needs of groups involved in Geriatric Education in the United States.

We are dedicated to improving the education and training, supply, distribution, diversity, and quality of health care professionals for existing and future programs targeting older people.

Our emphasis is on building strong community-academic partnerships which would ultimately improve the quality of health care for all elderly individuals, including the underserved, and minorities and ultimately eliminate health disparities.

conference-15-2.jpgWe bring together representatives of NAGE member organizations to facilitate the development and distribution of educational resources and technical assistance; create and activate mechanisms to develop and disseminate policies that strengthen and enrich the availability and quality of geriatric and gerontology education, and collaborate with other groups that have an interest in issues related to health care in geriatrics and gerontology.
